Ang Ah Tee (b. 1943) is a distinguished Singaporean painter celebrated for his mastery of oil and acrylic, known for his vibrant depictions of landscapes, cityscapes, and cultural scenes. A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts under the mentorship of Cheong Soo Pieng and Georgette Chen, he has developed a distinct style marked by bold colours, dynamic brushwork, and a lyrical sensitivity to light and atmosphere. Ang’s works often reflect his extensive travels, capturing both local and overseas settings with a sense of vitality and warmth. Honoured with the Cultural Medallion in 2009, he is regarded as one of Singapore’s most established second-generation artists, whose artistic vision continues to resonate with both local and international audiences.
